Level IIA stops low-velocity 9 mm and .40 S&W rounds; Level IIIA defeats high-velocity 9 mm and .44 Magnum handgun rounds; Level III is rated for 7.62 mm FMJ rifle rounds. The baseball cap is Level IIA, while helmets, masks, backpacks, umbrellas, and the folding briefcase carry Level IIIA certification. The backpack also accepts optional Level III hard plates, letting you upgrade from handgun to rifle protection on demand.

For low-profile everyday carry, Level IIA–IIIA soft armor items (e.g., the baseball cap or backpack in “commuter” mode) are adequate. In higher-threat roles—law enforcement, tactical training, or back-country shooting—choose Level IIIA helmets/masks or upgrade the backpack with Level III plates. Prioritize threat level first, then comfort, weight, and budget.

The armored baseball cap weighs just 0.5 kg and fits most head sizes. The full-face helmet comes in at 6.1 lb (≈2.8 kg) and uses a low-center-of-gravity suspension to reduce neck strain. The backpack carries 7 lb Level IIIA plates (or 15.4 lb Level III plates if rifle protection is required). All soft armor is built from UHMWPE/aramid composites with ventilated, washable liners for day-long comfort.

The backpack converts to a front-and-back ballistic vest in roughly 3 seconds. The 4-panel briefcase pops open into a standing shield with a rear pistol pocket when thrown forward. The bulletproof umbrella looks ordinary but opens to a 1 m canopy rated NIJ IIIA and tested for impact, wind, and tear-gas resistance—ideal for covert carry and instant cover.

The cap’s ballistic insert slips out for cleaning or swapping into another hat. Backpack plates lift out via a Velcro pocket so the pack itself can be machine-washed. Replace any armor that has taken a direct hit or shows cracks/bulging fibers. Routine care: keep items dry, store away from direct heat, and inspect seams and panels regularly.
