Escape Rope

The rope features a polyester sheath with a high-strength steel-core, compliant with NFPA 1983 escape standards. Each rope is rated up to 1,000 kg (≈2,200 lb), suitable for high-rise evacuation needs.

Anchor the rope securely to structural support (e.g., window steel hook or wall stud)
Lower the rope slowly while maintaining tension, ideally using a tether harness or descent device
Wearing a safety harness and using a Fireman’s Chair Knot provides safer and more stable descent control.

Single ropes are compact and easy to store, while ladder-style ropes provide safer descent with reduced slipping risk. Rescue professionals often use ladder ropes in conjunction with controlled descent devices.

Ensure window frame / anchor point structurally supports the load (use lag bolts or expansion anchors
Avoid rapid descent with wet/frozen rope to prevent core damage
Practice setup regularly, but avoid deploying single-use emergency ladder ropes during drills.

Choose rope length as follows:
‑ 4 m (≈2-story), 8 m (≈3-story), 12 m (≈4-story). Always add 1–2 m extra for safety margin during descent.

Clean dirt after use and air-dry; avoid heat exposure
Inspect core for rust and sheath for wear or deformation
After fire-use, assess integrity before reuse; if compromised, replace the rope immediately
